Abstract: Disclosed examples include an ESD protection circuit to protect an IC pad with high immunity against hot-plug surges, switching noise or other transient voltage conditions on the protected pad. The ESD protection circuit includes a clamp transistor and a trigger circuit responsive to rises in the protected pad voltage at or above a first slew rate to turn on the clamp transistor, as well as a second circuit coupled between the control terminal of the clamp transistor and a voltage supply node. The second circuit responds to rises in a voltage of the clamp transistor control terminal at a second, lower slew rate to reduce the voltage of the first control node to at least partially turn the clamp transistor off to reduce leakage current flow through the clamp transistor during transient voltage conditions on the protected pad.

I’m also a huge fan of the focus assist functions: I often shoot with wide-aperture primes, and if I need to check critical sharpness, the camera will zoom in to whichever portion of the frame the autofocus point is currently at as soon as I grab the manual focus ring on the lens, which makes it astoundingly easy to make sure I’ve nailed focus. Ortiz also briefly touches on the convenience of Eye AF and custom function button assignments: you can assign Eye AF to almost button you please, so when you’re using another focus mode and want to switch back and forth, all you have to do is tap the button. Abstract: A system has a chip mounting board and a docking board. The chip mounting board can be loaded with test samples in a low voltage environment and can then be transported to a high voltage environment. The chip mounting board can be connected to the docking board and allows high voltage testing of multiple samples in parallel. The chip mounting board can then be disconnected from the docking board and transported back to a low voltage environment to unload the tested samples.

The chemical disaster in Bhopal is still considered history’s worst industrial disaster. About 30 tons of methyl isocyanate, an industrial gas used to make pesticide, are released at a Union Carbide Corp. plant. About 600,000 poor residents of nearby shanty towns are exposed to a highly toxic compound that kills about 15,000 people and countless farm animals, according to Indian government estimates. The calamity leads to a generation of birth defects. To this day, locals claim the now-abandoned site is riddled with toxic materials left behind by Union Carbide, which was acquired by Dow Chemical in 2001.
