The base plate of the tripod should be as level as possible. If you don’t do this, you increase the risk of tilting over. It does not have to be exact spirit level, but as much as possible.

With the help of British and other allied forces, the United States begins its invasion of Iraq with a rapid bombing "Shock and Awe" campaign with the intention of destroying Iraq’s alleged weapons of mass destruction; the weapons are never found. Coalition forces manage to quickly topple the Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein, but have to fight insurgent forces for years afterward.

A lot of my interest in social justice over the years has also been tied into my Christian faith. I don’t know if I recognised it directly, the first time I read Winter of Fire, but over the years I’ve deeply appreciated the little elements of biblical symbolism in the story. The tearing of the temple curtain is the prime example. It resonates within a Christian worldview in a powerful way (Matthew 27:51), even though it is totally free-standing in the plot of the story – making sense to someone outside of that worldview, too, with nothing lost in the transition.  

Overall, aside from that crack (Which I’ll have to look at closer, and possibly weld shut), I’d say the body is exactly where I’d want it to be for a winter vehicle: Not so pristine that I’ll worry about harming a gorgeous, classic American SUV, but not so crusty to where things fall through the holes in the floors.
